IT in Schools

It has vastly improved in schools over the last few years. Previously IT was very basic and if you already had quite a good knowledge of computers and software I.T was not very testing and many students found it boring. Even many primary school students are now given the opportunity to study basic website programming, which is fantastic.

With the internet and computers / technology in general fast becoming part of our everyday life, it makes sense that pupils should be taught this at school. I.T can be a great subject especially if taken at GCSE level as you can learn in depth how certain programs work and how you can utilise this in your day to day life. It is amazing how much you can learn about Microsoft Excel, for example, that you may not have realised you could do. Knowing this information can save you a lot of time when having to work out mathematical problems or analysing data.
